  • Elmo GP Projector Bulb Problem

While viewing a film I pressed down on the threading lever to stop jumping and the projector bulb turned off. It won't turn on again. Why?

    Hi Don,

Have you verified that the lamp is ok?

One thing should have nothing to do with the other, but coincidences happen all the time.

I put a new bulb in with no change. The threading lever is in up position. There is no voltage at bulb pin connectors.

Is this one of the machines that you turn the lamp on and off by pulling the speed lever out and pressing it back in?

          Yes, that's the one.

This sound VERY similar to this thread.

Root cause: stuck "safety" roller - the one right after bottom sprocket. If it sticks in the "up" position, the lamp won't turn on.

I agree, the stuck film roller is probably the issue here.
