...I've had a few of these marvelous projectors over the years and have modified one the handle 1200' reels. I have also had to replace transistors, capacitors and rectifiers to bring two back to running order. This would not have been possible without posts here on the Forum from very helpful and knowledgeable members. During these upgrades I noticed a difference in the heat sink size in one of my machines. It is about an inch shorter than the heat sink in my other projectors. It was also quite hot to the touch with the projector running in comparison to the larger sinks. Even though this may not be necessary I decided to install a CPU fan in the projector to cool down the heat sink in the event I modify this one to 1200' capacity, therefore longer running time and prolonged heating. It seems to be working just fine and will hopefully prolong the life of the other components on the board.
