If any did, they would have been by a BBC employee smuggling the film recorder negative out of the BBC vaults for a personal copy to be made. I do believe a couple of comedy shows were on 8mm by this route. I have not heard of any Dr Who episodes being done though.

Just a footnote to these comments, many years ago a Doctor Who fan with an 8mm camera filmed an extract straight from the television that featured a few seconds of a Beatles performance (yes, the Beatles on Doctor Who!) which is now the only existing footage of that performance.

Getting back on topic..... No doubt there will be other 8mm Who fans with extracts, but I very much doubt they have a full episode.

And as for the BBC releasing super 8, they were few and far between. I seem to recall a 200' nature film of the life of a cuckoo, and possible a couple of David Shepherd documentaries on animals and trains perhaps, but nothing else really.

    Pity.

The Dr Who tv episodes were and are produced by the BBC and I do not think they ever issued any on super 8.

I don't think any TV episodes made it onto super 8, ( the British would probably know better), but "Doctor Who and the Dakeks" made it onto super 8, with the always ever watchable Peter Cushing!
