  • Keystone Model K100G 8mm project issues

I picked up a Keystone K100G 8mm projector the other day. But I have am experiencing issues with the forward drive on the machine. Reverse works fine but the forward spins but does not seem to catch on the cogs and turn. I was wondering if anyone has run into this issue before. Also is there anyone you might recommend for parts in case I need to rebuild the drive? everything is working up to the film drive post. (photo's attached)

That looks to be in need of a thorough service. The K-100G is from 1959, so the lubricants most likely are dry and sticky. The control cams no longer move correctly. Disassembly, cleaning, the whole procedure is indicated.

Thanks, I will do that to see if it corrects the issue.

Thanks to Simon for assistance/guidance. Pulled apart the take up reel arm and found the plastic gear had a tooth folded over stopping the action. I pulled the gear out, cleaned then heated the gear with my wife's hair dryer moved the gear back into position. Once cooled and reassembled it is working fine.
