How about “Comrades” or in the case of Ryan Air “Hello Suckers”. Don’t mind what they call me as long as I arrive safely.

Alway thought the Bob Newhart sketch on Grace L Ferguson airlines summed up flying

A correction is required here, although i said Ladies and Gentlemen is not to be on the toilet doors, that is incorrect, my mistake,
What BA are doing, is they are no longer greeting passengers on board any longer by starting off with, Ladies and Gentleman, welcome aboard, either way it still sucks that this company even wants to interfere with this polite tradition. What will they say now i wonder, "welcome men and women of both sexes, or whatever else you want to be identified as"? Idiots. Always a do gooder company thats wants to change something that no one else even gives a darn about. It is once again bowing to the clown in the 1%.

Ken, i agree with you, films on gadgets are just open to interruptions and the tendency to move it forward to skip parts. Nothing wrong with films being available in this way though. i guess it gets them out to a wider audience. Yes the British sense of humour takes some beating, even thats under threat, but thats one thing the minorities wont win over, they can try but they wont win.

BUT, back to the thread of the new superman,
Just read this crap from the BBC, (who else),

"Since the series was released in July, Jon has already fought wildfires caused by climate change, scuppered a high school shooting, and protested against the deportation of refugees.
In an earlier issue, Jon struck up a friendship with Jay - a bespectacled, pink-haired reporter.
DC Comics said the pair will become romantically involved in the upcoming fifth issue, after Jon "mentally and physically burns out from trying to save everyone that he can".

The one country i thought that may have stood up against this joke is America where the original super hero's were first created but then, a lot of todays goody stuff does sadly come from over the pond and we poodle along helped by brainwashing from the Uni's here. Sad i think that they feel a comic book character who saved the world with his super powers against evil villains was the stuff of entertainment. Real life was always kept out of it, escapism, a bit like decent movies.

We see enough of the crap they put in these new comics in real life, we dont need it in comics. Some countries around the world must laugh their bollocks off at what us, Europe and the US are turning into.
It'll be interesting to see what they do with the other super heroes, Spiderman will become dragon fly man with a pretty blue suit, Wonder woman will be built like a brick s*** house and batman with become pride man, the black panther will become the pink pussy.

Tom, I have done quite a lot of flying with different companies over the years including B.A,, Holidays, visiting relatives in Australia and own family in Spain and none have had seperate toilets. Re watching films on T.V. and computers etc. A recent survey concluded that concentration is very much diminished because of the distractions of the surroundings. I think that one of the reasons British films do not go down very well in the U.S. is that many do not understand our sense of humour or lifestyle. We are not afraid to make fun of our own ideosyncracies and criticise government decisions. "fishermens Friends" and "I Daniel Blake" etc. Ken Finch,

I have only seen the one toilet for all on planes. Always a hot seat.

To be honest, in many years of flying, I’ve always only seen unisex toilets on planes.

Well here is something to add to the post of unbelievable nonsense, keeping it filmy, im guessing this is going to happen in cinemas here soon,

Today, British Airways have announced some spectacular news that really needed to make the news,
They announce that the toilets on their aeroplanes will no longer have Ladies and Gentleman on them.
Wow, a burning issue of our time, what a load of utter bollocks, i thought this goes nicely with this thread, no doubt our cinemas and other venues will follow I wonder they'll put on the doors? Why is the majority allowing the 1% minority to win this kind of trash?
I got some good ideas of what they should put on the doors, i'm sure some of you will also know what i'm thinking.
Jeepers, just as you think it cant get any worse.

Cinemas need fresh product not old stuff. The reason I say this, is that the average person wont pay money to go to the cinema to watch something they have already seen on TV.

Have been there, tried that, and that's what the average cinema goer will tell you.

Tom, in the first Superman film I saw, he was kissing a girl. Now, he might just be kissing a boy. What's the problem with that? There are plenty of boys out there who kiss other boys, and plenty of girls who kiss girls. There are also boys who kiss boys and girls, and... you get the drift.

Did you have a problem with Superman kissing a girl? I'm guessing not. If your issue is with him kissing a boy, isn't that a little bit homophobic? I notice you were quite happy to censor the 'N word' as you put it above, but you are OK to spell out 'queer' and 'puff'.

Ken, i agree, cinema wont dissapear, but what i think they do need to do now is start to introduce proper films back into the cinema, films like Psycho, The Searchers, The Deer Hunter, Die Hard, The Hammer Horrors, Bridge on the River Kwai, to name just a few. I think re-runs, if if was marketed properly, could do well. The problem today as you said, are the internet, kids think streaming crap down on a phone is cool. Half of them havnt lived as far a cinema is concerned, and then in 2021 we get the PC James Bond and now this laughable nonsense from DC comics. We've had the economic reset with covid, we now need a serious reboot of cinema. New stuff is always welcome if it is good, as in, Stan & Olly and just as good, a very little know film called Fisherman's Friends, based on a true story, it is a great little film but because it wasn't a Hollywood blockbuster or American made, it gets little in the way of publicity. I saw the trailer for it when we went to see Stan and Olly. If you havnt seen it, i would recommend it to you.
Every time a film that was made pre 2000 is shown on TV here in the UK, they put out a pathetic warning that it may upset people as it contains views and language that were of the time. What absolute utter S***. If people are upset by pathetic words like the N word or queer or puff, or anything similar, then they need to get a life, and fast, these people also use it to one another in real life today, but thats ok isnt it.
Cinema needs a real boost and the way to do it is show the classic films of the past, to todays audiences. TV and Hollywood need to Stop trying to brainwash, they dont seem to realise that 99% of people are not babies and they dont fall for it.
This new trend being set by DC comics will only breed more problems, and NOT bring people together.

I do not think cinemas will actually disapear because basically we are "social animals" and need to socialise for our mental wellbeing as being "in lockdown has proved" Having 900 odd TV channels and an equal number on the internet, all working 24/7 uses a tremendous amount of electricity which needs to be generated world wide. The way things are going, the internet is going to "crash before long" It only needs a couple of solar flares, a "cyberwar" or running out of the rare elements required. It actually may have already started. No one has really explained why Facebook etc. suddenly stopped working!! Ken Finch.

There is an agenda, and I will just leave it at that. It will in large part, destroy Hollywood, as it once was. Perhaps that is why most of the best entertainments are found on the small screen, the TV, in this day and age.

As a good friend of mine pointed out, in a nutshell, so to speak, why has DC comics decided to bring the sexuality of a super hero's character into a comic which is aimed at kids?
Thats the bit i dont get, is the sales that crap that they need this feeble idea for cheap free publicity? Or are they just trying to be hip?

It's certainly not an actioneer.
Disney go off the boil every 20 years. Roy Disney is not there anymore to kick them up the arse. You are definitely trying going to get me to buy Cry Macho now might as well as I have most of them. Is it about a chicken farmer and hopefully he doesn’t sing in this one.

You know I actually bought the House of Cards George Peppard purely on seeing the title sequence of the dead body floating down the Seine. Unfortunately, that was that was the best part. Orsen Welles is also in it as the leading nazi leader an selling point for you.

Ken it isn't your age, your right, Hollywood just throw out one crap CGI ridden film after another. Snowflakes today laugh at the likes of the Harryhausen special effects, yet when i see the over use of CGI, i think it looks ten times worse, almost laughable at times. The early special effects were done by real artists in the industry, today its a bunch of kids sat on computer's at a desk.
In the 80s and early 90s, when you hear a new film was coming out with Bruce Willis, or Sly Stallone, Tom Cruise , Kevin Costner and the likes (to name a few), you often planned to go to the pictures to see it not knowing what it was about, you just knew it was going to be pretty good, and full of action.
One of the biggest problems for real film makers now is that Hollywood have decided that films must include a certain list, what utter bollocks! Let the film makers create the films THEY want. I guess the real talent will now fade away and make room for more creative manipulation of the film going audiences. Watch and be brainwashed. This how you must behave, this is how you must think, this is what you must never say. It's all up there on the screen. (and on the TV we all watch). Sad, but true. Notice how certain films and classic TV sreies are never ever shown anymore?
One can only hope that these crappy DC comic films pass by and make way for something with a real story behind it.

I also hope that this trend of appealing to the snowflakes and other minority groups passes by very quickly, and this nonsense of tampering with Superman in this way just beggars believe, it isn't wanted nor is it necessary to change such a character,(or his Son, i assume he isn't the man of steel, but the man of mince ).
