Just a note: I do get frequent offers to sell based on my purchase history. These range from the £1 and £2 listings to 70% off final value fees. There are buyer vouchers too. Saving a % on sale price.
This means two things. Firstly sellers can start auctions at a lower price or reduce BIN (Buy It Now) price. Or just increase their profit.
The buyer vouchers work oppositely by implying a high selling price. The seller gets that value, minus fees. Hard to tell if the fees paid were those mentioned above, a reduced fee. Or the full fee the eBay applies. The buyer only pays the reduced price.
I don't know if both parties know the deals applied by eBay. I doubt it.
So in many cases, the price of sale isn't really the price either party get or are willing to pay!
Careful 👍
