Another seemingly obscure rarity purchased recently from Paul Foster.
A full 200ft reel documentary essentially showcasing the "Platform 3 Model Railway" at the old Blackpool South station, run by Irving Scott and Tom Moore. Plenty of shots of the large model railway in action, young visitors reactions and a brief look at the electrical "fully computerised" infrastructure running the trains.
This polyester print is a little on the soft side, it appears to have been edited on 16mm judging by the visible splices at every other shot change. Because of the fairly generic title, I couldn't really find much information online on this particular film.
Besides an acknowledgment to Mr. Irving Scott, there are only 3 other people listed in the end credits:
Commentary PETER MILLEST Dubbing Mixer NORMAN ASHTON Filmed By DAVID WILSON
I'd be interested to know if anyone here knows anything about this film or any information about the filmmakers, and who put this out on Super 8mm?
