Hello Winbert, No you don’t have to cut your projector belt .You have to just measure the cross section and width of your belt. My projector belt s was 55mm -3mm width .This Company has many many different motor belt sizes .Just go to their o- ring sections on the left hand side of their home page and find the correct size motor belt for your projector. Make sure the belt is not too tight for your projector motor. Good luck mate it will save you lots of money if you buy few, as the postage is same £1.50 for what ever amount of belts you order in UK, although I don’t know the cost of postage to USA. Have a look at e.bay prices for the motor belts and compare it to £1.20 any size belt you order from this company. Good luck Regards Leon

Hi Leon, I don't know how to measure my projector belts. but I am using Elmo ST-1200. Are you using the same projector?
Or can someone post here what is the measurement for ST-1200 please (for all 3 belts, i.e main belt, and two pulley belts)

Hi Winbert, IF you can just remove the belts from your projector and measure it a cross and put the belt back in your projector again. The belts I bought was for Bell and Howell and 16mm elf projector. However, they have belts to suit any projector.Good luck Regards Leon

Winbert, I could see using these to replace hard to find belts; but why don't you just order a set of the original square Elmo belts for your ST1200? They are not too expensive and available from a few different sellers.

I did already Joe. I ordered 3 set for Elmo ST-1200 from "needitgone" for something $24.
But I have several Elmos lying around and if it is only few pounds why not. I just don't know which belt should I order for SI-1200 since there are too many in the above site.
