Great they are full features but geeez that was a lot of money then .... And actually it is still a lot today!
Was that from the 70's or 80's?

'Portland Pete; was in fact Peter Burt, who ran Mountain Films, Portland Films, and all the other 'companies' in this group. Peter started in package movies by selling a self made 50 ft Standard 8mm film of Kew Gardens from his photographic shop in Burlington Arcade, so he was a pioneer of 8mm package films in the UK. I've not been on this forum for a considerable time, and there is so much I could add, having known Peter since the very beginning, along with all the other pioneers such as Ralph Gill(PM Films) Tony Powell, Barry Wiles, Les Siddall Keith Perry, and of course Derek Simmons and the rest Many have sadly passed on, but if anyone out there would like information gaps filled, just email me, and I'll try to help. I'm the guy who ran Phoenix Films in Wigan, and I subsequently bought Regent Films in Blackpool from the late Les Siddall. Incidentally, I think the colour prints of The Pit And The Pendulum mentioned in this thread was release by Derran, not Mountain, I had a copy in my hire library and certainly acquired in from Derek Simmons.
