Quite simply, incredible! [Eek!] Nice picture of our friend Dino Everett in the Archivist section.
Interesting that Blackhawk embraced the ill fated RCA CED video disc system in the early 80's.

I just finished reading about this in The Reel Image magazine. Thank you Dino for help making this available to collectors.

Being a relatively new collector, I had never seen a Blackhawk catalog. I was simply amazed at the number of films in their catalog. I've spent the past few hours soaking up all of the information in them.

In one catalog, I came across the infamous RBC agreement that I'm guessing had to be signed if you were going to buy a Chaplain film from them.

So Joe, I assume you returned all your prints in 1991? [Big Grin]

Bill Brandenstein-Sorry for the slight ironic answer.I didn't get the question right.Actually,I can't remember exactly where I saw it.On Dino's facebook page or one of the film collecting pages.I just copied it quickly so as not to lose it!

Oddly enough Paul, I never "leased" an RBC print, so no headaches - Cheers, Shorty

Shorty, I never took the time to read them. I wish I had read them before now. There is so much that Blackhawk released on 8 and 16mm.

For anyone who wants to hear more about the back story of how these Blackhawk catalogs became available online, I would encourage you to subscribe to The Reel Image magazine and get this Spring`s magazine.

Here is another screenshot from the magazine I would like to share.
This is from the April-May 1980 catalog. It is really interesting to see how many different options you had for a title like Birth of a Nation. I am guessing that it was a title that sold well for Blackhawk.

Panayotis, that's really interesting because if you go directly to the USC Hefner Archive home page and search for this, there are no links that take you to this collection.

Anyway, I just contributed two more to the cause!
