Hi all, if you have decided to go to the North west film convention weekend in Blackpool 16th-18th Nov. but still not made your mind up to
go to the convention dinner please don't leave it much longer to book
as time is getting short to do so.Remember on the night you will have an excellent 3 course dinner followed by coffee and mints. A film quiz with prizes, a chance to win some very nice raffle prizes most related to our film hobby and to finish the night a film show, all this at the four star Grand Hotel (formerly The Hilton Hotel) at the modest price of £23.00 per person. To book please contact...
Adrian Winchester on Tel.No.020 8656 0168
or Email him at adrianw_8-16@tiscali.co.uk

come and join about Sixty fellow collectors for a great night
you will enjoy it without doubt.

Thanks to David for an excellent summary. I'll add a few additional details:

The number attending has now reached 60. If you're wondering whether the journey from a UK location is justified, please keep in mind that seven participants are coming from the USA, Norway and Belgium! We look forward to welcoming first-time visitors as well as ones who have been drawn back many years after their last visit.

If you're booked into the Grand, you can 'transfer' to the collectors' dinner for an additional charge of £3 (due to the hotel's new room hire fee, etc) but you must tell me in advance.

The film show, which will be presented on Super 8 by Peter Wilson, will have a special extra attraction. Simon McConway has snapped up one of the first cartridges of the new Kodak Ektachrome stock to reach the UK, and he will use this to shoot some test footage that we will screen. So all attending are likely to be the first UK audience to see what the new stock looks like when projected. Many thanks to Simon for taking the initiative.

The information sheet with full details for participants will be emailed over the weekend.
