I'm relatively new to 8 mm film making and new to the forum, so hopefully I'm posting this in the right place.
I have figured out the very basics of how to shoot Fomapan r100 regular 8 mm in my Keystone Capri, reversal process it in a LOMO UPB tank and split it into 2 strips. I would now like to project it. I found a Bell & Howell 10MS at good will, but I am not able to successfully load it. I opened up the front case to try and determine the problem. The film gets bunched up right before it enters the film gate. I have some experience with manually threading an older projector, and have never had too much trouble. I can't figure out what the problem is with this automatic loading mechanism.
Does anyone have a manual for this projector, or some advice on what might be the problem?

Hi Ian and welcome to the Forum. If you PM me your email address I can send you a PDF of the User Manual for the 10MS.
If there isn't some film jammed in the film loading path and the loader is not damaged....make sure that the head or leader of the film is trimmed properly. Some projectors can be very fussy if not trimmed properly and will jam. If you don't have a trimmer just use scissors to round the end or nail clippers can work also.

Brilliant! That was an easy fix. I had previously only squared off the end with scissors, now I know to use the trimmer that came with the projector.
