This is my first post. It's always nice to find a bunch of 8mm freaks (and I mean that in a good way of course).
A friend and I recently completed Sleep Always, a feature on widescreen super 8 ("super-duper 8"). We shot with a Nikon R10 and a Canon 814XLS and we did our own telecine with a GS1200 and a Canon XL1. We shot on the now-discontinued Ektachrome 7240, a much-hated stock but we like it. We edited on Final Cut Pro and mastered onto DigiBeta. DVD's are pressed from a glass master. More info at: www.friendlyfirefilms.ca
Hopefully I'll have something to contribute to this forum. Otherwise this will turn into a shameless plug for my movie.
Cheers, Rick
