Just received a trailer for Disney's Black Cauldron, from Paul Foster; as usual great service and fantastic product. Anyway, was wondering if this was ever available on Super 8, either complete or as an edited feature?

Dear Simon,

No not even an extract, as this was released when Disney was pulling out of 8mm, and Derann never went for this title (if it was ever offered, that is!).

Thank you Barry for those details. This trailer I mentioned, began with a celebration of Mickey's 50th then onto the aforementioned Black Cauldron. Who was behind the release of this actual trailer?

It was Derann, I recall buying it when it was released. I don't think they would have felt that sales would have justified a feature release. Considering that it's an impressive-looking film, but with a weak story, it might have made a good digest version.
