Hello all!

I was wondering about a few things, maybe someone out there can help me out. I recently purchased two projectors, a Kodak Showtime Model A20 and a B + H Lumina 1.2 Model 383A. Both are in excellent cosmetic condition, but as 60+ year old equipment goes, are in need of a tune up. The thing is, I don't want to ruin or break something in the process! Here goes a more in-depth description:

Kodak A20:
I have tested this unit, and it seems to play great, except I can tell the FPS is off (peoples motion seems at times to be a bit slower than it should). Also, if I pull the 'rewind' tab out the the face of the projector, it quickly spools up the top reel, and then stops the machine from rewinding altogether. So, have to stand and rewind it by hand, or, most recently I've been able to quickly spin the top reel in the rewind direction and it seems to 'catch' onto the rewinding mechanism and rewinds properly (without 'rewind' tab pulled out). How should I go about cleaning the gears / motors? Is there anything I should watch out for? Any way to fix the rewind mechanism? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

B&H:
I was told this model is capable of running 16mm film, but am unable to get any information on the 383A model. It has a retractable cord in the back, but the plastic has severely cracked with age and I would like to replace it. It has more performance issues than my Kodak, so I haven't ever used it. I would also like to clean this as well, but have yet to figure out how it opens! I've looked everywhere for housing screws, tabs, etc. and can't find anything on it! Oh- and most recently, I tried to run it up and the motor seemed to "fwip-fwip-fwip" slower and slower until it stopped and buzzed inside. Haven't turned it on since then. Any help would be very appreciated!

I hope to talk more with people on here and be as much help as I can. Thanks to the creators for making such a great website!
