There were quite a few put out there on Super 8 optical. I can't remember the specific titles. I did see one as was really struck by how sharp they were, really equaling 16MM TV print quality.

They are hard to come by these days however.

Yes they were. I will check for you, but one person who posted on here awhile back has an Avengers episode on super 8 optical sound, however, I don't know which one.

I'm not sure, but I thought "The Avengers" was released on magnetic sound super 8 in the UK. Could someone perhaps verify that over in the UK?

... Now, ow is tat for great news Thomas? [Smile]

I don't know what the print quality is on those Mag stripe versions, though if released by DErann, I'm sure the image quality is pretty good.

Years ago I lucked out on a super 8 optical sound print of "Department S", a 60's "Mod Squad" styled british spy show, and if the print quality of "Avengers" is anywhere near as good, then it's right there with 16MM.

Derann released only threeAvengersepisodes :THE POSITIVE-NEGATIVE MAN,THE LIVING DEAD and RETURN OF THE CYBERNAUTS,in mag. sound and very good quality. Any opticals must be airline or south-african or "from other sources".

Well, the very fact that optical prints exist today is rare in and of itself, (and even more so concerning "Avengers" prints)

The question I have is ...

Will they be different episodes than the ones released by Derann?
