I found an old bottle of cleaning fluid by Kodak. It must be from at least the mid-80's. Everything expires but my experience in film is that some things have a very very short shelf life or they are still acceptable well after their expiration.
Is this stuff okay to use? I don't want to damage my film if it is too far gone.
Also is there a more household solution for cleaning film? Like salene solution? It would just be nice to pick up something from CVS rather than special order every supply for film handling.

There is a member on this forum, that makes his own cleaner/lubricant, I have forgotten the chaps name, but his stuff is just as good as Film renew, and made at a fraction of the price.
