OK guys, it's time for some fun at my expense ...

I say this because you would think that someone, who has written extensively on this forum, would KNOW this by now, but here goes ...

I was comparing two prints of a cartoon that I have. I'm going to be auctioning off one of two prints soon on ebay, and so I was comparing the color on both. One did look as if it had more perfect color, but then I got an idea ...

Hey Dummy, look at the "blacks" ...

Sure enough, I noticed that one print has the slightest of "color" shift in the blacks to a slight reddening, the other had near perfect blacks.

I have always looked at the colors in the past, but I never REALLY compared the blacks, which, now that I think about it, makes perfect sense.

What clued me in? Mickey's ears. Mickey's ears are always black, one print has slightly less black ears.

Dumb of me, eh?

When buying a used print Osi, always look at the black leader on the film. It should be perfectly black, a sepia tint indicates fade and there will be no true black on the whole reel.
