Every so often, when I am about half way through viewing a film on the GS1200, there is a loud crash at the back of the room and a 1200ft reel rolls across the entire 22ft length of my home screening room! Forgot to flip that front reel retainer again! [Mad] How often has this happened to you, and does anyone have a foolproof procedure for avoiding this?

It happened to me just yesterday afternoon during my solitary cine fest, for me though it wasn't the take up but my newly cleaned reel 2 of Star Trek the Movie which crashed onto the floor and rolled out across the sitting room carpet. [Mad]

It usually happens to me after I have been using the Sankyo and gotten out of the habbit of clicking the retaining clip across.

So far I don't have a fail safe way of remembering to flip the clip over...

PS: This is something Elmo would surely have changed about the GS 1200 if it had continued in production?

It hasn't happened to me yet, but it is inevitable! I guess the only solution is a sticky note with big words. [Big Grin]

Hi Paul
Yep been there done that, its amazing how far a reel of film will travel, [Eek!] I am sure the stuff has a mind of its own, when it happens its more embarrassing than anything else, [Roll Eyes] cant think of a fail safe method.

Graham. [Smile]
