Just a thought here,
would like your opinion on this idea,

I was thinking of asking some of the heavies on the forum to help me put together some ideas to do a few months of "the forum piece", it can be an article by you or if you dont have the time perhaps you could piece together the jist of an article and i shall write it up, mail it back to you for your approval and then if i can get enough together present it as a "forum piece" for a a short series.
Alternatively i could present it as a one off Forum special to cover around 4-6 pages covering items from a couple of super 8mm film reviews/ a technicle piece/ a history on someting in your area, (be nice to get one from across the pond)or one of those lovely home cinema's some you have,(John!)

Just a thought, whats your opinion?? [Wink]

It would be good to see some of the enthusiasts on here contributing to the magazine. I prefer to have things on paper than computer. And I always find it interesting reading about people's collections, their projection equipment and how/where they put on a show.

Come on chaps, put something together for Tom. He's been writing interesting articles for that magazine for years now and could do with some help.

subscribe to Steve Osborne's The Reel Image magazine...it has all that stuff....including people's experiences putting on shows of all kinds.

Thanks Gary but I don't think Tom was aiming to re-print material from Steve's magazine. He's looking for new material that will hopefully be of interest to film enthusiasts to help keep the hobby fresh and alive.

My own home cinema recently featured in 'smallformat' so it's probably not worthwhile repeating it all but there must be others out there with something to share.
