I'm new at this, so... I do have a few still film cameras and I know how to work on them when needed, but I have no idea how to go about verifying accurate focus on the new (used) Super8 cameras I'm currently accumulating (Sankyo ES-44XL; Canon 512XL, AF514XLS, 518SV; Eumig Vinnette 3)
I want to get precise focus between lens and film, and then correct eye-piece to match. So, how does one go about doing this correctly?

Hi Craig,
On the cameras I've used the diopter is usually set by setting the focus to infinity, looking at a distant object and then ajusting the diopter until it is sharpest.
