Hi all,

I knew there is one 400' digest from Ken Film, but there should another version. I also know that in German this title is available 2 x 400' as "Caprona"

The reason is because I just received one reel of this title which has been inter-spliced with at least another English version. The splice makes the story to flow more nioely.

Any idea?

Winbert,

As far as I know, in English language digest form there is only the 400' and 200' Ken Films release.

As you said, there is also the Marketing Films two part Caprona - Das vergessene Land. I know a few Forum members have re-recorded the Marketing version into English and edited all three reels together. I intend to do that also....someday. Your reel may be a combination of the Ken version with one of the Marketing prints.

Ken also released a digest of the sequel, The People That Time Forgot.
There are also Super 8mm optical sound prints of both features.

I think there's room for just one more film.....

I know it was unusual for Ken 200' releases to have material not in their 400' releases, but does anyone know if it might be the case with regard to this film?

Adrian,

I think that is the case. Because it doesn't make a sense if someone inter spliced 2 reelers into 1 reel (400').

I guess the 200" Ken Films was deliberately made to be interspliced with 400' version.

The 200' version has a lot of scenes that are not in 400' version.
