Chatting to Aivar Kaulins at the recent BFCC, he told me how he'd used The Winston Churchill Hall for a scene in a Children's Film Foundation Film he had produced; One Hour To Zero. Sure enough, there is a scene on this film where a Welsh town are evacuated because of the threat of explosion at the local nuclear power plant. The "community centre" they're being evacuated to is the very building we held the BFCC in last weekend! The ironic twist...a copy of this film was available on the Bring & Buy stall! How many times can we say that a film sold at a certain venue actually features the venue itself within the story? Did anyone buy it?

Remarkable! If anyone did buy it - or if anyone else has a copy on 16mm, it would perhaps make a good last show of the day, if there's another BFCC at Ruislip.
