My Picts in this order:

Dwarfs Dilemma
An Evening with the Lady and the Tramp
Duel of the Wizards
Sorceror's Apprentice.

I bought the Snow White first, because it was the first animated feature.

Kind of an old topic, but my best Disney digest is "The Aristocats meet the Scat Cats". Not really a digest at all because it is a sequence from the movie, but it makes a good movie on its own, kind of like a Disney short. My copy has the most excellent color in my collection, no fade at all. And sense the segment is very colorful it really brings out the best in Super 8!

I do agree, Daniel.
All copies I had of this excerpt had stunning color. The one I actually own in my collection is (incredible but true) on Agfa.

Daniel

Scat Cat has to be my favourite Disney 200fter as well. The colour on mine has held up well. The only complaint I have is that my copy has one of Perrys irremovable stickers on the box obscuring the art work! [Mad]

My three favorite digests are ...

MIckey's Memorable Moments 2 (probably because it took me so long to get a good color copy)

A Walt Disney Christmas Excellent repeatable digest

Mickey and his Pals A great collection of those 1930's "trio" cartoons!

200ft

I Wanna Be Like You (another great complete sequence digest)

200ft non digest (complete cartoons)

The Old Mill

Let's not forget "The Dapper Dalmatian". This is the first 8 minutes from the feature and it is perfect!
Most of my Disney releases were printed at Buck Film Laboratories and they still have great color.

My full edition of BEDKNOBS is still very good. But the excerpt you are referring to, Michael, unfortunately is not [Frown] ...

Sorry Michael. I meant the full feature I own in super 8 (Italian print and edition) is still in good condition. But THE BEAUTIFUL BRINY excerpt by Walt Disney Home Movies I have in my collection has totally turned pink . [Frown]

Hi guys-

Gian-
About Sword and Stone extract: I NEVER even knew it existed! Thanks for the Link. About Briney: Mine has very good color. However, my other Bedknobs extract (Match of Century) is totally pink!

My personal Disney 200 foot super 8 favorites:

Albetros Airlines (Rescuers extract)
Prince & the Dragon (Sleeping Beauty)
The Old Mill (classic all the way!)

Now, for my most-requested audience (kids) pleasers-

1. Match of the Century (Bedknobs)
2. Prince & the Dragon (Sleeping Beauty)
3. Super Nanny (Mary Poppins).

James.

Hello James, how are you? It's a VERY rare excerpt indeed. That was the second one I've seen in my entire life (the first is the one I own in my collection [Big Grin] ).

I hope to find a good print of THE BEAUTIFUL BRINY, one day.
Ciao!

Given that I've only been collecting for a couple of months, I only have two Disney digests but they are good ones!

Brer Rabbit & The Tar Baby: A nice, only slightly edited excerpt from Song Of The South. The color has not faded on my print but has warmed a bit.

Robin Hood Rescues Maid Marian: An entire scene from the movie. Everything from the archery tournament to the free-for-all fight. Like Brer Rabbit, it's just slightly edited to fit on a 200' reel. Good color on my print, with just a hint of warming (less than Brer Rabbit).

I can't remember, but is there a full list posted somewhere that lists ALL of the Disney super 8 releases from the 70's/80's (like the U8 or MGM/Ken list)?

If not, could somebody post one please??

Thanks [Wink] .

James.

Yes we do have that list in one or two posts (one even with its parallel title in German releases).

I hope Admin/moderator can make an index for all list we had made (like index for Film Reviews) and make it as a sticky post like Super 8mm Film Distributors and Sellers (please delete Derann's ONLY list since it is redundant with the Distributors and sellers list)

thanks
