Since their catalog is in German,I think I read somewhere that there is a program that will convert the German to English.Or am I barking up the wrong tree.

If it's only striped on the main track, then I say forget it! With no balance track it means the film will a) not be in sharp focus across the full width of the film , particularly so with fast f1.0 projection lenses b) will not wind up flat on the reels c) will not permit stereo recording. Sounds pretty useless to me unless they can get that essential balance stripe applied.

As far as I know from an item I read on Wittners site a while back, they are striping the material themselves. I have to agree that I would prefer to Buy in the 50ft carts and have it striped on both the main and balance tracks for stereo use as well as that all important focus issue.

A solution, though expensive, would be to post-stripe the balance stripe after processing. This film is for single system recording of original sound along with image on the film. I do not know of any S-8mm sound cameras that would record sound in stereo. Maybe I'm wrong there. Anyone?

I would still be concerned about not having the balance stripe when shooting. There are good odds it wouldn't sit properly in the camera during shooting.

I believe I remember seeing a Sankyo super 8 movie camera that recorded in stereo (with two microphones, I think) back around '79 when the Stereo ST-800 projector came out.
