ok, I JUST got one of these machines that I purchased from one of our favorite websites [Smile] ok the begining of the film path on this machine is kinda "Slot load" looking, Are you supposed to just feed the film in from the hole like any other 8mm projector and the first silver guide is supposed to suck it down into the machine, or are you supposed to push it past that till it catches on the right above the gate? because as soon as I got this out of the box, I couldnt get the film to move at all, then I pushed it past the silver guide wheel and it started to take in the film THEN just as it did the shutter belt broke. I hope I worded this in a way that someone can understand the question. Here's another way to word this. on some projectors when you turn the motor on but dont go to the lamp position, the begining of the film path "clamps down" till it reaches the take up reel. This one doesnt seem to have anything thats like that so I was wondering if BEFore the shutter belt broke was the projector actually function ing the way it was supposed to, I only had it running for five mins and couldnt get it to suck in the film even though everything seemed to be runnng just fine.
