Hi

I have to put some grease on the plastic gearwheels in the "mechanism" in the "feeding arm" (is this proper english?) on my Elmo K100 SM.

I have some Eumig O-ring grease that you put on the O-ring to keep the lid tight and keep water out.
I got when I bought my Eumig Nautica and I am wondering if that would be OK to use

Cheers

Hans

Hi Hans, it is best to use good lithium based grease, as this will not affect the plastic components in your projector.

Good brands are Castrol & Molly. Both of these manufactures produce quality grease with a high melting point.

Hi again

What a difference
I found Castrol lithium grease in a auto repair shop and even lubricated my Eumig 812 with it and all I can say is WOW

Thanks for the tip

Cheers

Hi,

Is the Lithium grease,
the black colored
grease that is also used
on the claw mechanism on
the GS 1200?

Hi

I am afraid I donīt know what grease GS1200 is using.
The only thing I can tell you that this grease is not black it is a sort of light brown/yellow color.

Actually the color is pretty hard to desribe but it is not black

Cheers

Hans, the colour isn't important. The lithium-based grease I use on my projectors is off-white...

Hans, glad it made a big difference to the running of your machine. As Jean-Marc has already stated, colour is unimportant as long as it is lithium based & has a high melting point if used in the claw area.

Hi again
Jean Marc: I know I was just trying to answer Michaelīs question :-)

Craig: As I said what a difference. My Eumig was pretty loud when I got it and I thought it was supposed to be that loud, but now I know better.

It is pretty funny becuse the only size they had for the grease was 400 gram so i guess I have grease for the rest of my life but i might need it who knows how many projectors I might "need"

I rediscovered super 8 last year and bought my first camera then
Today I have 6 super8 and 2 reg8 cameras

I bought my first projector Eumig 812 not long ago and just recently bought a mint Elmo K100 SM with a Swedish manual and a 4 page color brochure about the K 100 in Swedish aswell.
I only paid 100 Skr = 11 Euros.
The only thing this little beaty needed was new drivebelts so the whole thing cost me about 30 Euros. Not bad and something tells me that this will not be my last projector!!

Cheers and gretings from Stockholm

Hans
