Hi,

I'm hoping to include a particularly iconic Super 8 camera as a very small part of a very big magazine feature. I can't say too much about the feature, but could anyone suggest a model that might fit the bill?

I'm thinking along the lines of a camera that brought Super 8 to the masses, so not necessarily the best ever made - although if there is one particular model that trumps all others, then that would be good.

Mine is a Chinon-something-or-other [Roll Eyes] , but as far as I'm aware it's not of any particular importance in the grand scheme of things. Clearly I'm not the expert around here! [Smile]

The Minolta Autopak 8 was a popular item in NZ. [Smile]

Thanks Trevor. I'll check it out.
Any other takers on this?

The first super 8 camera was introduced by Kodak in 1965 when super 8 was first launched. The M2 was aimed at the masses with the simple load, drop in super 8 cartridge. It was designed as a simple point and shoot camera for making a family record of events much like we do with video these days.

Hope this helps, Kev.

GS1200 Xenon with Elmo 1.0...great combo along with a 16-CL Xenon for that super bright white light.

Thanks Kevin, sounds like just the thing I was after. [Smile]

If it makes it into the magazine feature I'll let you know about it when it comes out.
