I just bought a GS-1200 (TC) at a yard sale for US$75.00 I took it home and it runs fine except for some sound problems and needing a good clean up.

I am sending it to Leon Norris in Pennsylvania to check it out and fix it. Can anyone tell me something about this particular model? This is a GS-1200 (TC) serial number 831990.

What difference exists between this and the regular model? What about price? I will appreciate any information as I am a total newbie willing to learn to I can enjoy this wonderful hobby.

Thanks

Jon

Jon,

Is this a GS-1200 Telecine? That's quite a bargain for $75.00! Here's a thread we've had about that particular model.

Yes it is Doug, with a 1.1 lens to boot. It's running beautiful I just sent it to Leon Norris for a good going over because I am going to sell it as soon as I get it back so I can continue my search for a regular GS-1200 Xenon. I already have a 1.0 lens for it.

Thanks for the answer.

Jon,

Just amazing. Isn't that every collector's dream? A rare, high end projector in great shape at a yard sale! What luck!

I have both a Xenon and a regular GS-1200. I keep the 1.0 on the halogen and the 1.1 on the Xenon.

You're right about that Doug, I found it right here in the Upper West Side. Great find indeed, I feel so luck I'm going to put a few bucks on Mega Millions tomorrow night.

Hey, you never know!
