Does anyone know of any titles which were cancelled/unreleased which actually made there way to the marketplace,a few have already been mentioned in this forum such as Ken's 3 X 400FT THE VALLEY OF GWANGEI,Marketing's STAR TREK 2-WRATH OF KHAN.
I now Marketing were due to release another batch of titles such as FRIDAY THE 13TH,MY BLOODY VALENTINE,LITTLE DARLINGS but went bust before they were released.
Iver also released a few features full length such as Murphys War,Gold,Shout at the Devil and Virgin and the Gypsy which were never generally availiable.
I know PM Films had most of these titles in there rental library.

I also recall CONQUEST OF SPACE. I was told that Mexico had ordered them but the Peso fell. So the order was canceled. Don't know how true it was. There were other Paramount titles but I don't recall them.

Something vaguely related to this is BLOOD OF THE VAMPIRE. I have a Derann catalogue from around 1979 which indicates that the film would be released as a 4 x 400'. This never happened but around 1984, once the Super 8 revival got going, Derann released a rather uninspiring cut down that was about 500' on a 600' reel.

That was a real shame wasn't it,another title I can recall was Iver's CROSS OF IRON which was announced in Movie Maker as being a midi-feature ( 4 x 400ft ) but was eventually released as a very condensed 400ft featuring most of the brutal climax, wasnt SWEENEY the movie also announced by Iver as a double album too?
