I have been made aware that there is a relatively easy way to add variable speed control to the Elmo SC-18 which has 2 fixed speeds. Does anyone have access to this conversion, or a schematic, or pictorial on how this is accomplished. It would be greatly appreciated......

All the Best,

The sc-18 is not fixed speed. It has internal pots to adjust the speeds of both 18fps and 24fps. Most Elmo Super 8 projectors have a motor control circuit board.

The ST1200 series have an AC motor and they don't use a speed control circuit as they are synchronised with the mains frequency.

The rest of the Elmo super 8 sound machines all have a similar motor control board except the GS1200 which has a far more complicated arrangement due to the inbuilt ESS system.

GS1200 Xenon with Elmo 1.0...great combo along with a 16-CL Xenon for that super bright white light.
