One thing to keep in mind with modern reviews on the internet and such, is that most films from many years ago have a slower pace than now, where everything on screen must run at breakneck speed.
"Lawrence of Arabia", by todays modern person, is incredibly boring. To the trained eye, it's magnificent.
Now, I haven't seen "Mary Celeste", but just the chance to see "Ole Bela" in a non-dracula/mad scientist role, would be quite nice.
Back on topic, I've never heard of any Bela silent movies on Super 8mm. Maybe checking out obscure Blackhawk titles might yeild some fruit?
