Found this on a site devoted to Pirates of the Carribbean ride...Never knew about this one...

I beleive the site is tellnotales.com

--------------------------------------------

And Dig This Ol' Buried Treasure...

We've unearthed a copy of the official Pirates of the Caribbean Super 8 Souvenir Film, which was available in the '60s and '70s at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. It carries you on a "float-through" of the entire ride, from the placid lapping waters of the Blue Bayou, through the eerie grotto of lost pirate souls, past the burning of the village, and finally to the explosive ending...

That's a neat little curio, but due to it's age, there would be no Captian Jack Sparrow, alas!

Yes, my box art is different to this as well. Disney produced many films of their rides and parks, both day and night. Of course in addition to buying these films, I have shot my own Super 8 there too.

Pirates is probably my favourite old ride, of the new ones I like Star Tours and Indiana Jones.

Hands down, my favorite ride was the haunted house! I was fascinated with those rear projected ghosts, especially the ballroom with all of them dancing! Didn't they produce a Super 8 200ft of that ride?

They would have done well to produce, (perhaps as a 400ft release?) all those shorter ride films and make a complete
tour of Disneyland!

By the way, my favorite "Pirate" film on Super 8, is the Monty Python/Cheech and Chong flick, "Yellowbeard", full feature on optical sound super 8!

Osi, it's the "Haunted Mansion" (not house) and yes, they did produce a super 8 50 footer. Since it came pre-striped, I also produced my own soundtrack with actual takes from the Mansion (my entire living room is a tribute to Disney's Haunted Mansion and I have an extensive collection of memorabilia).

All lands and most rides were covered by super 8 releases. If you search the forum for Disney titles, we compiled a full list with Mike Peckham.

That would be pretty cool to actually track down all those 50ft. editions and make a full tour of the best rides.

Did they also produce a 50ft or 200ft of the Captian Nemo "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea ride"?
