Yes, the 905 has the variable speed adjustment with a range from about 17 to 25 frames per second. It's a really precision control too, so you can set it pretty well dead nuts on 24 fps if you need to (for re-dubbing). The 905 is the co-axial reel design, which a lot of people do not like because of the tortuous film path up to the gate, and the fact that there is no feed sprocket. This is what Sam is talking about, that the 900 to 929 series Eumigs all have this questionable design which can be hard on film unless you are very careful. The 930 and up are great machines - Eumig went back to a conventional in-line film path design with two sprockets. These later machines are wonderfully kind to film, and the projectors just purr along, unlike the noisy thrashing of the earlier 900's. The strong point of all the 900's is the excellent sound quality, which gets truly superb when you get to the stereo versions 926, 938, and 940. If you are in the market for a better projector try for a 938 or 940, or even one of the earlier 800 series which are great little machines, again very kind to film.
