Hello folks, I'm a HD Digital convert but have a eumig p8 and a lot of my dad's old movies. We used to watch them when we were kids and I have fond memories of lots of drama while the reel stuck and the bulb blew etc. I'd like to get into this again but I have a few problems. The P8 was recently serviced but some of the movies I have are 'standard 8' ( the holes are a little bigger than super 8 ( have a collection of them too ) and I believe the P8 is a 'standard 8' projector. But the reels have a locator hole which is larger than the pin/claw on the arm. Are these reels not standard 8mm or is there a little bit of kit missing to fit these reels on the arms? Last thing do any of you know where I'd get at least one 400ft take up reel? to fit the same projector, I'm in Belfast. Peter

Welcome aboard! Standard 8 has been coming from processing on the super8 spool for yonks now so you will buy some plastic adaptors from somewhere (???) but 400ft spools are available on ebay cheap.

Thanks for the speedy response, at least I know the film and the projector are a match. I'll do a hunt for the adaptors. Peter
