Hi,

I would like to find out if E.V.T. Magnetics can stripe some of my films (polyester-based) with both main and balance track... unfortunately it looks like they don't have any eMail-address [Frown]

His name is Nick Maltezos, and at least the last time I e-mailed with him this was the address:

magevt (at)amserve (dot) com

Thanks. I've just dropped him a line.

Addition: The mail-server replied with a "Returned mail: Over quota"-error-message. Hence it looks like EVT doesn't use this eMail-address any more...
... anyone has got a more recent eMail-address for EVT?

Jörg

An old invoice (22nd May 2007) states the email address as:

maltfilm @ amserve. com (obviously no spaces!)

I have an old brochure from EVT. It has the same e-mail that Simon listed.

There is also a telephone number listed-

01580 200528 (U.K.).

I haven't used them in a while (over a year now). But they always had good service, and fast too.

I hope they are still in business. I used a place in California a few years back. They did a good job, but took a little longer (about 3 weeks). That one did go out of business though. I don't know of any other sound striping businesses now. [Frown] .

Hi,

thanks. Nick Maltezos replied to eMails send to the "maltfilm"-address. And his prices sound like I gonna have my films striped by him! [Smile]

Update on EVT-

I sent 400 feet of recent home movies to them about two weeks ago. The owner (I guess) called me the other day to give me a progress report (great service!).

He advised me that when striping the 64-T, it takes a little longer, because he has to apply a "liquid stripe", instead of the usual laminent stripe. It seemed strange, since last year he striped some 64T for me using the laminent stripe, and its holding up fine.

Anyway, I was curious if anyone on the forum here has recorded on the EVT liquid stripe. I usually mix different sounds together (music, effects, dialog), and I'm wondering how well the liquid stripe handles recording. Any help is appreciated!

Thanks.

James.
