Can some one explain how does this unit work.

As far as I can guess from the pictures, it has nothing to do with pedro's unit. Pedro's sync unit is specific for the ELmo GS 1200 and crystal syncs it at four different speeds.

The unit up for auction works as an interface between a mag track with field sound and sync pulses and slaves a projector to those pulses.
