Well, voting for cartoons to be released (see here) didn't really work by lack of contributions.
So I give it another try, making voting easyer. So:

Please vote here (Doodle) for the cartoon you would like to see released on Super 8mm. Maybe we could convince Derann or Classic to release those with most votes...

The Cartoons in question are listed below. They are linked; by clicking on the title, you will be able to watch the cartoon.

What's Opera, Doc?
Pigs is Pigs
Sunshine Makers
Tell Tale Heart
Hyde and Go Tweet
She was an Acrobat's Daughter
Fresh Vegetable Mystery
Three Little Bops

Have fun and - please add your vote.
Best, Michael

Michael,

Nice job setting up the poll. I think you might want to change the title of this post from "Another try" to "New Cartoon Poll" or something else that's more specific. Interested Forum members might pass this thread by if the title doesn't give them any information.

Michael. Nice effort, really. "What's Opera Doc" got my vote. Keep in mind that a poll from enthusiastic collectors such as ourselves might not be enough and that a new release on super 8 depends mostly on the availability of the source material (ie very good condition 35 print).

Thank you Douglas and Jean-Marc, for your encouragement! I changed the title at once...
I am aware that a new release depends on availability etc. But I feel that we should give it a try. Maybe the guys at Derann or Classic are interested in knowing what the collectors want...

I viewed and voted twice but could not use the same name, hence the slight abbreviation to my votes.....

You're able vote for as many cartoons as you like - on first visit; one is not restricted to one vote. Here ist the link again.

I appreciate the poll as well as a new super 8 release. But I'm going to mention anyway that it would be great to get new releases of older ones already done. If it were possible to replace the now fading prints.

I say this because one of the funniest in my collection has the problem, Ant Pasted with Elmer Fudd. A perfect short for July 4th holiday. I also wonder how rare is this title on super 8. Mine comes from Techno films, and it is worth noting that some of these prints were made without balance stripes (track 2)!

No more interest here?
So far, "What's Opera, Doc?" is clearly on the top of your desires.
If there were a few more votes, we may even be able to find out, wich cartoon will be on second place.

And remember: You can vote for as much Cartoons as you like.
