Thanks, Lars,
Very impressive. What a clean working environment. I could use a couple of those machine in my basement. Muhaha!

Thanks for all kind replies,
I felt it gave a lot of hope also I can see why super8 Kodachrome had to be let go (Huge 50-year-old megabuck-machines involved) but this seems different; if super 8-product is only three machines away from 16mm stock, super 8 should be available for a long time yet!
Oh, perhaps we should also support Wittners whenever we can; IŽve bought stuff from them (two-blade shutter, etc) in the past and quality was outstanding.
Cheers

Thanks Lars, great piece. I had not got around to the link in the Wittner newsletter yet. I emailed Wittner to let them know what an eye opener it was.

Thanks again,
Wittner also bought what was left of Beaulieu Cinema Inc a couple of years ago, litterally several tonnes of stuff!
Again, youŽd think I was on the Wittner payroll, but I just feel they provide invaluable service to us who want to go on using small format equipment.
I frequently meet younger people who want to do stuff in super 8, yesterday a young man revealed his plans for a big super8-project to be shot in the next couple of weeks, for which he needed 40 rolls of film
I felt that was pretty impressive (ambitious), and should make Kodak happy!
About a year ago over here an ambitious documentary project (professional) was shot on 16mm and they shot... hang on... 100 000 metres of raw stock! Wonderful
Cheers

You know that Kodak is closing down that Windsor plant at the end of the year.

Yes, but they move the production back to Rochester.
