I'm happy to announce that I finally got me "Popeye Meets Ali Baba"!
... thanks to my wife! (gee, maybe I should have her bid for me more in the future), on her own ebay account she recently started. While it isn't a perfect mint print, (slight very thin black lines here and there), it isn't too bad and from the screen captures on the auction, I should be able to handle most of those scratches with a good cleaning of the film.
The nice thing about the auction is the color. "Glcody" (I believe that is the name of the seller) apparantly must be one of those sellers thats very hard on his assessments of film prints, as the color is near pristine, maybe the slightest fade, as all colors are definitely well shown on the print.
While this print isn't an L.P.P. Perry's film re-issue, (I'll still seek for one of those), this one will more than do until then. I'll be curious as to who released this print.
It's apparent that this print isn't the Niles release, (the Niles was a UFA source print), so I wonder if this is the same print that weas up a few weeks back, which was stated to be a, I think, De Maio print.
At any rate, that leaves one last film that I still seek.
Thanx me fine honey! (the wife, that is!)
Also, I thank Brad Moore for pointing out this auction to me! Many thanx!

It doesn't look to be on a low fade stock. The seller, our own Chris Smith, (if he wishes, he is welcome to add to the discussion), stated that the color has some warming to it. However, the color didn't look to really having any bad fade to it. It has the same re-issue title card from "A.A.P", which "Popeye in Alladin and his Lamp" also has, ( I have that print as well) and the color has held up well, (though the prints of that particular title had a poor color faded negative to start with). The Niles print was taken from a "NFP" negative, (I mis-spoke earlier in thyis series of posts, calling it a UFA negative).
This print of "Popeye/Alladin" while not L.P.P. or Agfa, was one of those Eastman stocks that has held up well and I'm betting that this print is on the same, from the same company. I hope that it has the original leader on it to potentailly verify who's print/where it came from.

Hi Osi, Glad you, er, your WIFE won this print. Yes, I am tough and am very honest on my eBay descriptions and I said this one faded to the "red spectrum" despite several scenes that have quite good color.. I just checked the leader--it is a DeMaio print, and it has just a second or so of the aap card before the "Popeye" title card begins. I have another print of this somewhere and will check that one out as well. No, this was the first time I listed this on eBay, so I don't know who was selling one a few weeks back. I also have a couple copies of Popeye/Sinbad that I will be getting at as soon as they are located. I'll check the stock on those as well. I have a rather large 8mm-16mm collection and plan to get rid of about 80% of it--keep watching the skies, I just may have something you are looking for. Thanks again. Chris

Thanx Chris for chiming in. The only real reddening I saw to it was in the faces which were a little pinkish, but the rest of the color was quite good, especially being that this title, from Niles, well, I've never seen a great Niles print of this.
Chris, just in case, when you dig out your other copy of this specific title, could you shoot me an e-mail to let me know the condition of that one.
By the way, your money order for it went out in the mail this morning.
All the best
OSI
Hmmm ... by the way, when your lookin about your collection, keep me posted on whether you find "Life and Times of Grizzly Adams" optical feature! Please? Cool!

Yay!!!
I must say, I must be annoying my wife, as I've been happily parading around our house, talking about finally getting a good print of this, (by the screenshots, it's a lot better than any I had before).
Have you received the money order, Chris? My wife said she was going to write to make sure you got it, as she's always nervous sending them out.
Once again, muchas gracias on giving me the pick of two copies!
