Who released the William Cameron Menzies film on Super 8mm? I just got the 400' version (original box and leader not included) and it's basically the last reel of the feature. It has an opening title (not spliced on) which means this was meant to stand as a 400' release. While the print is on the grainy side, the color is outstanding.

Interesting - I have a 400' with good colour too. Just checked the stock, which is Fuji. It also says 79 JM; I don't know what the JM is but I suppose the 79 is the year. It's lucky as some Mountain prints have suffered particularly bad fading.

I'm pretty sure the late Alan Martin talks about editing 'Invaders from Mars' for Super 8 in the 'The Men Behind The Movies' (part 2 I think).

Doug, I have the one your talking about. The colors on mine are still stunning - real surprise when I first viewed it. here is the plastic case it was housed in.
