I've just bought a catalogue from Bentley films on e-bay.Among the titles listed(on std 8),there are:"Jerry Wald and his orchestra","The battle of New Orleans","Follow that Music" "I know what it means"," So long Basin street"(those two ones featuring Billie Holiday.I'd like to know if these are hard to find and if they are also available on super 8.

Jerry Wald(one reel) and Follow That Music (one reel cutdown of a two reeler) were Heritage releases and are available in both std and super. Battle.. is also a british release and also available in std and super. The Billie Holiday songs are 50 feet extracts from the feature New Orleans from Film Office.I have only seen them in std and am not sure about super.

I have all in my collection exceptBattle.... Pictorial quality is fine (excellent for Film Office). They are "musts", if you are interested in that kind of music! Jerry Wald..is a typical forties orchestra short, with singer Anita Boyer.

Sorry, my reply was cut in half ! Follow ... is a two reel "musical featurette" with Gene Krupa, cut to one reel. It has a plot, that has been reduced to feature the music. Some familiar faces appearing, include Nan Leslie and Tommy Noonan. The Film Office shorts are simply the songs. Mind you, there are also one or two songs by Louis Armstrong from the same film.
