I was just watching my old Derann Ghost of Frankenstein 8mm feature and the sound just went dead as I plugged the audio cable into my receiver... I assumed it was just the fuse but when I changed the fuse... nothing. When I put yet another fuse in, I could see it zap and burn out - so I think the projector is burning out new fuses. Has anyone had this problem and figured out how to fix it? I have other Eumigs I can use, but I love this machine so I'm hoping to save it!

Hi Brian,
For better or worse, the job of a fuse is to blow when something in the circuit has gone sour and is either short circuited or close enough. This will stop a failure from becoming a disaster.
Before they had fuses they had (umm) fires.
Odds are some semiconductor device on your sound board has popped and is taking the fuse out when you apply power.
The choices are basically replace the device or replace the entire assembly it's part of.
BTW: Did it blow the fuse even with your cable unplugged? That could change things considerably...
