Does anybody know who released this Hitchcock film as a feature?

Michael...ABC/Ken I believe, in super 8 sound.

Thanks, Bill.
Any idea on the quality of the print?

Well they also released "Notorious" full length which I have and it is a very nice print. I would have to screen it again to be sure but I seem to remember that it was a little 'soft/dupey' looking but I was so thrilled with having it that it did not bother me.
Maybe someone who actually has it could comment. Hope that helps!

Thanks, Bill. Did they release any other of Hitchcocks films as features?
Posted by Bill Phelps (Member # 1431) on November 29, 2010, 05:17 PM:
Yes...Rebecca, Spellbound, Notorious and The Paradine Case. I'm pretty sure these are all uncut. (I only have Notorious, I want the others!) These are the 4 David O'Selznick produced pictures.
These are from ABC/Ken films.

Although I can't say for sure that Ken/ABC did not release a print of 'Spellbound', I'm almost certain that this was the unusual Portland/Derann joint release that appeared around 1982-3. Can anyone confirm this?

In this thread and also this one, we discussed ABC Films and came up with a list of their releases including Rebecca and Spellbound.

Thanks Doug for putting those links up!
Adrian...so did Derann also release 'Spellbound' or are you refering to 'Rebecca?' Is this from the same source material?

Apologies - I was mistaken; I've checked and I was getting mixed up with the Derann/Portland release of 'Suspicion'. I knew it was a Hitchcock film with a one word title starting with S!

Well that's good to know. I love Hitchcock and it is my goal to one day own all his films on film. (A large task indeed!)
But that is what makes collecting so fun!
