For those who are busy film making on 8mm, 9.5 or 16mm why not keep us all posted as to the films you are actively involved with at the moment.. Ill start the ball rolling.

I have two films scripted at the moment and have now taken delivery of the necessary camera film. One project is to be shot using Standard 8mm Black and White Fomapan R along with my trusty Bolex P2 Cine Camera. The second film is to be shot on 9.5mm film using the Pathe Lido camera with Photoworld stock which has delivered good results and I’ve been very pleased with overall.

We will be location scouting over the weekend for the first project and hopefully trying out a test film to make sure the kit is working as it should, so fingers crossed before long we should be in full flow and filming earnestly in summer.

Updates to follow.

I have one called "Around the Pond" which is footage of my son (age 4 at the time) walking around the lake in a local preserve. I wrote some verse about what it's like to be a little boy and how children change how adults view life and filmed these as titles to be placed among the scenes along the trail.

This one sat for years (he's eight now), until my hand was forced by the end of Kodachrome last year and I finally composed and shot the titles.

They all came out..now to editing...

I have a great many projects I could finish in a week, if I could get an entire week just for them!

Given that the "Titanic" memorial in DC is not far from where I live, I am thinking of doing a "Titanic" tribute for April 14 of this year (possibly to be expanded for next year, the 100th anniversary.)

I currently have 3 little projects.

I shoot 10-15 rolls of Tri-X every summer on my Chinon 132PXL.
(My personal favorite pocket camera.)
I just had all the footage telecined last week in Los Angeles and will be cutting a little summer vacation montage to get me excited about shooting before this upcoming summer.

My 2nd project is a 30 second film showcasing my cousins wedding. He got married in Nashville and I shot it on Super8. I just wanted to give him a little montage.

My 3rd project is a camera test for my new Canon 814XLS. I bought it 6 months ago but am still yet to do a camera test.
If everything comes out OK it will be my new summer camera!

Best!
Kirk

I have a 400' reel of standard 8 Kodachrome that I shot over 2010 of my son called 'The Supra Story' It needs a little tightening and some titles but it is a good document of his adventures with his 'cars' over the summer/fall.

I shot some of my first sound film in three seperate films: Cass Scenic Railroad/Autocross/Pinks All Out.

I have a hand drawn cartoon in the works that I have shot some test footage for.

And...I have some interesting B&W train footage that I shot (back in 2008) for a intended short that fell through and I'm thinking about how to use this into something.

Does 35mm count? Here is mine:

http://galacticraiders.net/

Still working on it. Hope to have the remaining live action finished this year. It's loaded with stop motion effects. I've tried to coin a phrase similar to Dynamation, Ray Harryhausen signature phrase for his stop motion. But mine is a little different. It is more computer assisted stop motion.

I am also in the middle of shooting a film on Fomapan 2x8mm stock that is to be about the electrification of the rail way to my home town. Yes, steam is still mainly used in my country for powering trains, no just kidding. But I thought I may just as well make some sort of film about the ongoing project.
About Fomapan R, it has just come to my notice that Foma in the Check Republic are having problem whit delivery of raw material for Fomapan R films. I have just got my shipment of four rolls, I hope they aren't the last rolls I have purchased.
