I have used both beveled cement splicers, as well as the Wurker with Duoplay 2 Sound type tape splices. The latter worked great, when I used them in the early 1990s. But the old tapes I still have in stock have lost their adhesive stick and readily separate from the film. This is also happening with some of the splices on films from that era that I made. This may force me to return to cement splices, but even the old Craig cement is nearly impossible to find.

Any suggestions for either the Wurker tape splices or for getting good filmcemen ?

Unless there is a specific reason you need Craig cement, Kodak's good stuff can be had in economical can size here:

There are also several dealers on these boards who have it in the little bottles instead, if you need less.

Just remember - you cannot use cement splices on Mylar/polyester based stocks.... Tape or ultrasonic only...
