I am buying a EUMIG S 910 High Quality Sound Projector this month for around $150 (includes shipping). Is this a good deal? Does anyone do repairs on Eumig projectors in the U.S.A. now? (In case I ever need anything done) How difficult is it to obtain a patch cord for input since its a 5 pin DIN jack? (I think) Finally, does anyone have a source for a English manual for it? The only one I found online is in German. Please give me your opinions both pro and con. This projector will supplement my Elmo which currently needs repair.

Hi Joe,
I'm sure this will upset a few on here but it's not one of Eumigs better machines,They have a horrible take up system that is in my opinion a bit harsh on your films.As for the price i wouldn't pay anywhere near $150 for one,being honest i wouldn't get one if it was given away.If you like the Eumig range then go for a 936 as these are much nicer,very quiet and not too expensive mid range machines,Mark.

I totally agree with Mark - that coaxial reel system with no feed sprocket is horrible and very hard on film. Hold out for any of the 930 and up machines which have the conventional 2 sprockets and in-line reels. The 938/940 are the stereo models with 150 watt lighting and both are truly exceptional projectors.

For a smaller machine, I would recommend Eumig 810D-Lux!

D-Lux will come with very bright lens 1.1

Looks like I should send my Elmo out for repair then -- does Leon Norris still work on them?

All have very good advice! The Eumig 926 on up are a good call, (though the 926 does have that rear reel problem, the later models don't I believe.
