Hi everyone. I have a Canon Cine S-400 projector. To change from standard 8 to super 8 there is a lever that shifts a part with 2 different gate sizes for the light to shine through. I cannot see what else it changes like sprockets etc.

What am I missing here? Thanks.

Hi Paul,
These are a sprocketless projector. They rely on the claw fingers to move film through the projector & so theres no need to change any sprockets over. There ain't any sprockets.

Thanks Frank. Does that mean the same "claws" work on both standard AND super 8 film?

Thats right Paul,
When you swap guages, the film is moved slightly sideways in the gate to align the film frame with the claw finger & aperture frame.

P.S. Your 75w 12v Lamp is going out today by express post so it will be there tommorrow.
Hope its a more suitable whiter light than the other.
