I'm just trying to think what era these people are harking back to, having had numerous projectors through my hands I can't honestly think of one that "flickered" and pictures jumping about It seems to have been largely forgotten that in the UK we did have what was known as the "Ten Best"competition set up by the periodical"Movie Maker" that was held annually and open to everyone.Indeed some of these excellent films would put the so called "professional cinema" to shame being beautifully shot and edited. What annoys me is when the so called pro's try to laugh off the amateur gauges as "kids stuff" and we've progressed beyond that.Interesting that 9.5 wasn't mentioned or the turning over of the 25' spool in std 8mm cameras or am I going back to far for the patronising b#######!
