I have over 150 feature films and shorts that I need pricing for. Where can I find out what each one goes for? Thank you in advance, Julie

Hello Julie, If I suppose if you were selling them on here, you could
offer them in the "price in the region of,highest bid secures". I
can't see anyone opposing that.

Julie, to start with I would first try listing many of the feature film titles. As a general rule if these are recent(ish) prints from Derann on low fade polyester then they are worth good amount of money, many hundreds of dollars each. If on the other hand they are all much older prints from say walton films and the colour films themselves have turned a red colour then the price is much less say $30 - $50 but this all depends on the title and the condition.

It might be quicker at first to take a pictue of the collection and many members here will be able to see whats there and the size of the reels.

These are from Jullie's older post:

quote:
Here are a few titles, The Lone Ranger 1956, To Have and To Have Not 1945, A Star Is Born 1937, Several L & H, WC Feilds, The Shadow Strikes 1937, San Francisco 1936, Stage Coach 1939 and much much more. You pay for shipping. Thank you for your interest, Julie
They are her grandpa ex collection. I believe no Derann later prints. And from what she said previously, they will be Blackhawk, Red Fox, Niles, Hollywood Film Exchange and sort of.

I an a photographer and I do know I have checked over thee films and do not see any turned films. There were 2 in the entire that did and I removed from the list. I was checking the inventory last night and there was a few films over looked and are not on the list I will add them in the next few days. PLEASE ONLY SERIOUS OFFERS, I do know the worth of most of them. I am willing to take less but please do not try and take advantage. I am in California and will ship in the manner u would like plus u pay for shipping.. if local to me pick up is fine or if u want to see them in person. Now lastly maybe you good people can help or steer me where to go with this other collection I have of my Grandads. He has a wonderful collecting of albums dating back to 1900s. ALL R IN CONDTION I WOULD SAY AS GOOD AS NEW. THE COVERS OF COARSE FOR 112 YEARS OLD HAVE WEAR. There are magnificent titles and some one sided albums I beleive they are 78s. I would think Julie means that a 16inch reel is a 2500' spool.

Jullie, I am glad when you are saying "films are not turned".

quote:
GUNS FOR SAN SABASTIAN 1968 Anthony Quinn/Charles Bronson 12 ½ reel
However the above title is always found to have faded/turnedto red. So are you sayinh "films are not turned" is based upon checking or you just guessing.

Can you now check the above title and see if you find true colors or reddish/warming color.

I am interested to buy.

There are also some titles on your list that I suspect must have turned but let I start from that first.

Thanks

Hello Winbert Hutahaean,
You are absolutely right it is a rosey pink. I thought I removed that one from the list already, sorry about that.
I was taking pain staking hours to look threw each and every film only to have my best friend mix the stacks together(thought she was helping) and I was at the point of starting over. I do know how to check check past the opening and look at first seens. So as it stands as I get people interested in a certian one I will check out the film before actually going threw with sale. Again thank you for bring to my attention that I left that on there by mistake.
Thank you,
Julie
I do need to add though to the list is BAD MEN FROM BODIE BUCK 1940

Thanks Julie. I will email you with more titles of my interest but again color fading issue is important for me.

Btw when you are saying

quote:
THE COVERS OF COARSE FOR 112 YEARS OLD HAVE WEAR.
What do you mean.....

As you may have known super 8mm just been popular in 1970s previously we had standard 8mm.

So non of those films were printed 112 years ago. Although they are mostly classsic films but they were printed in 1970s with the most recent i guess is from 1979. Perhaps you want to know.
